Berlin-bound! FC Bayern conclude Matchday 20 with the clash at Hertha BSC on Sunday evening (kick-off 17:30 CET). The 5-0 win in the reverse fixture continued the Munich men’s good recent record against the Old Lady. Read on for more on that, and the incredible statistics that freshly crowned Best FIFA Men’s Player Robert Lewandowski is carrying into the trip to the capital:

1. Bayern dominate the fixture

The German record champions have won their last four Bundesliga meetings with Hertha and have suffered just one defeat in the last 21 (W16 D4), a 2-0 reverse in Berlin in September 2018. FCB have also kept a clean sheet in 10 of the last 15 league encounters with the capital club - Bayern haven’t recorded that many shutouts against any other team during the same period.

As well as hat-trick hero Lewandowski, Thomas Müller and Jamal Musiala were on the scoresheet in the 5-0 win against Hertha in August.

2. Best away team visiting Berlin

Bayern have already collected 22 points on the road this season and lead the away table clearly ahead of Bayer 04 Leverkusen (18). Julian Nagelsmann’s side have won six of their last seven away league games, losing only to Augsburg.

3. Hertha expert Nagelsmann

In head coach Nagelsmann, Bayern have a true Hertha expert in the dugout. The 34-year-old has not lost a single one of his 12 Bundesliga matches against the capital club (W8 D4). In the history of the German top flight, Christoph Daum is the only coach who has come up against one team more often without losing (20 times against Bochum).

Nagelsmann made it eight wins in 12 meetings with Hertha with the 5-0 victory earlier this season.

4. Bayern goal factory keeps producing

No let-up in sight: in the 4-0 win at Köln last Saturday, Bayern extended their record run to 66 consecutive Bundesliga matches in which they’ve scored. The champions are on 61 goals for the current campaign - more than any team has ever had after 19 matchdays.

5. Lewandowski proving he’s the world’s best

Robert Lewandowski defended his crown as The Best FIFA Men’s Player on Monday - and he’s proving week after week why he more than deserves this accolade! His hat-trick at Köln took the Pole’s tally to 23 league goals for the season, a figure that only he has surpassed after 19 rounds of matches (24 last season). The Bayern frontman has even scored two more goals than the Hertha team put together, whose tally of 21 is their lowest since the 2009/10 campaign (16). The 33-year-old has also scored 10 goals in his last five encounters with Hertha – twice as many as the Berliners.
