The New England Revolution posted an away win that ends a losing streak. The team played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and beat Atlanta United 1-0, courtesy of a first-half penalty kick by Carles Gil. That was enough to earn three points and shift the tone of the campaign thus far. Below are the major highlights of the MLS match.

1. Carles Gil seals win with penalty and breaks club record

Gil won the penalty and converted it in the 36th minute of the first half to secure the away game. It was his third of three games and the 42nd of his life in MLS regular season play. With 115 goal contributions, Gil matched Steve Ralston in two notable club records.

2. Ivacic is solid with five significant saves

Revolution goalkeeper shut down the goal and posted his second clean sheet of the season. He finished with five saves, holding the game at 1–0 and claiming the team's initial road win of 2025.

3. Beason makes debut as part of solid three-man backline

Tanner Beason made his Revolution debut and finished the 90 minutes. In tandem with Mamadou Fofana and Brayan Ceballos, the two stopped Atlanta United to five on-target shots. The back four remained solid and supported the win.

4. Campana and Chancalay are available to give some strength in attack

Leo Campana came back after missing three games due to a muscle strain and entered the game as a substitute in the 58th minute. Tomás Chancalay, who had missed action due to a knee injury, played for the first time since last May. Both are valuable additions to the team for the remainder of the season.

5. Numbers tell the story in another win over Atlanta

The Revolution fired 12 shots, seven of which were on goal — their best attacking performance of the season. The squad boasts six win in the previous nine matches against Atlanta United and won their second game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
