Arsenal’s young talents have been selected for England squad for the U17s Euros in Estonia, with several having made appearances for the first team this season.

  • Mo Marley selects several Arsenal youngsters, including Michelle Agyemang, Laila Harbert, and Katie Reid, for England’s U17s sqaud for the Euros in Estonia.
  • Players have been given opportunities in the Arsenal first team this season due to injuries.

Mo Marley has named her squad of 20 players for the upcoming u17 Euros in Estonia, which commences on Sunday. Unfortunately, head coach Natalie Henderson will be unable to travel for the event.

Several of the young Arsenal players selected have been given opportunities to represent the first team this season due to injuries within the squad, with some even making their debut:

  • Michelle Agyemang, 17, a forward, has made five appearances as a substitute, scoring one goal in the FA Cup against Leeds. She has also been named 18 times on the substitute bench.
  • Laila Harbert, 16, a midfielder, has been named seven times on the substitute bench but is yet to make her first team debut.
  • Katie Reid, 16, a defender, has been named 13 times on the substitute bench and is also awaiting her first team debut.

These three players would have been on the bench for yesterday’s match at Brighton if they were available. Other Arsenal Academy players called up, who have not yet been involved in an official first-team game, include Araya Dennis and Isabella Fisher.

Forwards: Michelle Agyemang (Arsenal), Ava Baker (Leicester City), Araya Dennis (Arsenal), Isabella Fisher (Arsenal), Milly Round (Aston Villa), Ruby-Rae Tucker (Aston Villa)

England are in Group B, and all the group stage games will be broadcast exclusively on uefa.tv in the UK.
