An off-season of change in East Yorkshire has been well-documented, as Tim Walter replaced Liam Rosenior last month for his maiden adventure into the English game, and there's plenty for the German to get his teeth into with pre-season fast approaching.

Ever since Acun Ilicali's takeover of the Tigers in January 2022, transfer dealings in this part of the world have often come under the microscope for Championship standard, which included last season's loan acquisitions - in particular Fabio Carvalho, who donned the Black and Amber between January and May.

However, the Portuguese and a plethora of other loanees have since left the MKM Stadium, leaving the 48-year-old with plenty to ponder regarding the mould of his squad by the time the new season begins on Saturday, August 10th.

With that being said, FLW takes a look at some within the City ranks who could save the club funds over the summer.

Will Jarvis

Beginning this quartet is 21-year-old winger, Will Jarvis.

A product of the academy in HU3, Jarvis made his first-team debut under Grant McCann in an EFL Cup tie against Wigan Athletic, before gaining his only Championship minutes to date - 17 against Derby County - in a 1-0 defeat the following week.

The York-born playmaker has always been highly rated by those who cast a keen eye on academy matters, and he's shown exactly why during two loan spells with League of Ireland outfit Shelbourne in the last year.

Having moved to Tolka Park in July 2023, Jarvis registered two goals and as many assists in 12 games, before shining under Damien Duff so far in the 2024 campaign after returning in July.

Shelbourne currently sit top of the table, and it's largely down to the talent of Jarvis, who is the club's top scorer with eight goals in 22 games - averaging a conversion rate of 26%, on top of four assists.

His contract is up next summer at the MKM, but when he returns from Ireland in December, the winger could break into the first-team scene for the second half of the season.

Timothee Lo-Tutala

Timothee Lo-Tutala is yet to cement himself as someone as part of the first-team squad on a regular basis, despite joining from Tottenham Hotspur two years ago.

Regardless, the French youth international definitely proved his potential ability in a loan spell under the aforementioned McCann as a key figure in Doncaster Rovers' rise up the League Two table.

The South Yorkshire outfit were 22nd in the fourth tier with 28 points to their name on the day of Lo-Tutala's arrival, before nearly reaching the play-off final, losing on penalties to Crewe Alexandra after a remarkable run to fifth place at the conclusion of the regular campaign.

City have the household EFL keeper Matt Ingram on their books alongside Croatian Ivor Pandur - who many believe should be the starting number one in August - but if either of the two experienced names were to leave, Lo-Tutala would be a more than adequate deputy at the very least.

At 21, the one-time France Under-20 international is yet to make a competitive appearance for the Tigers, but the concession of just 0.8 goals per game at the Eco-Power Stadium on top of eight clean sheets in all competitions gives him plenty to build on in the coming seasons.

Oscar Estupinan

With Liam Delap leaving the club, City are understandably doing all they can to persuade the young forward to return, alongside the likes of former Birmingham City hotshot Jay Stansfield recently being linked with a potential move back to the second tier.

However, Colombian centre-forward Oscar Estupinan could be drafted back into the fold now Rosenior has departed, with a potential clean slate provided for the current Bahia loanee.

It was reported last summer by The Sun that the 27-year-old would struggle for gametime under the previous head coach, which could now all change, although his current loan deal in Brazil expires on December 8th.

Hull Live claimed that the club have recently considered the idea of recalling him prior to pre-season, having netted seven goals in 17 games for Bahia, after a disappointing spell at French outfit FC Metz was cut short.

If recalled, supporters will be hoping he can recreate the form which followed his arrival at the club under Shota Arveladze, which saw him score seven of his 14 goals for City across his first six Championship games, including a hat-trick against Coventry City.

Stan Ashbee

A somewhat rogue shout rounds off our list of four, with Stan Ashbee looking to emulate his father, Ian, in growing the family legacy with Hull City.

Despite being just 17 years of age, the youngster who is tied down at his boyhood club until 2026 has already made an impression for both club and country, representing the Republic of Ireland's youth ranks on the international stage.

Ashbee also made his first-team debut against Birmingham in the FA Cup back in January, and didn't look out of place despite facing off against seasoned professionals such as Oliver Burke, as well as making the first-team squad for a handful of second tier games.

His rapid development in youth football has also seen Ashbee represent the Ireland Under-19s, which included a friendly against Slovakia in March.

It will be interesting to see whether the new boss continues to utilise the prospect's services on occasions next season, which would only enhance his development, having scooped Hull's Frank Donoghue Academy Player of the Year award in successive seasons.
