4-1: Tchouameni starts in France’s convincing victory over Australia

The France-Australia match was the first game of the Qatar World Cup involving Real Madrid players. Tchouameni was named in the starting line-up for Deschamps’ side who made a winning start to the tournament. Australia opened the scoring in the 9th minute through Goodwin, but the French turned the scored on its head before the break courtesy of goals from Rabiot and Giroud. Mbappé (68’) and Giroud (72’) with his second to seal the three points. The Madrid midfielder was replaced in the 76th minute, while Camavinga was named as a substitute.

The win means France top the group table after the first round of fixtures. Tchouameni and Camavinga’s country next face Denmark (Saturday, 26 November, 5 pm CET) and Tunisia (Wednesday, 30 November, 4 pm CET).
