Saturday morning’s reports confirm that at least 39 people have been injured, that three individuals have been arrested and that a gun was seized during the celebrations for Napoli’s Serie A title on Friday night.
Napoli were crowned champions of Italy for the second time in three years after a 2-0 victory over Cagliari at the Stadio Maradona on Friday night.

While the vast majority of Napoli supporters celebrated the title victory appropriately, there were several incidents that required intervention from the emergency services.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, at least 39 have been injured, a large chunk of which came as a result of burns from fireworks and pyrotechnics let off during the celebrations.
The Pink Paper adds that the figure of 39 injuries comes from two specific hospitals in the centre of Naples, and suggests that the actual figure is likely higher.
Among those injured was an individual from Belgium, who was stabbed in the leg by two passers by riding on a scooter for no apparent reason.
There has also been damage to the historic Fontana del Carciofo at Piazza Trieste e Trento.
Saturday’s report adds that three individuals have been arrested in the aftermath of Napoli’s title celebrations, including a 26-year-old TikToker with over 200,000 subscribers, who rode on a scooter with two other passengers through a designated road block.
The 26-year-old was stopped by police, the individual allegedly attempted to flee the scene and was reportedly chased before disposing of a gun in the nearby Molosiglio gardens.
A 59-year-old and a 32-year-old have also been arrested for attempting to drive through roads that were closed for the celebrations.
