FC Barcelona remain active in the summer transfer window, even though no official signing has been made yet. Still, the club is working in a sustainable manner in order to get the best out of their limited resources. To do that, however, Barcelona will need to be cautious.
Firstly, the Catalan giants made sure to get crucial renewals out of the way and sorted. Both Raphinha and then Lamine Yamal renewed their contracts, and only after that did Barcelona actively pursue the signing of a certain goalkeeper.
With there now being confirmation from reliable sources that Spanish goalkeeper Joan Garcia will indeed join Barcelona, it is hardly surprising to see that the club is looking at other signings as well now. The most recent link connects La Blaugrana to Croatian player Ivan Perisic.
According to the latest update provided by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, PSV forward Ivan Perisic is an option being considered by Barcelona as well. The 36-year-old Croatian international is seen as a low-cost transfer option who has prior experience under Hansi Flick as well during his time at Bayern Munich.
Moreover, he is still performing a high level for both his club and his country as well. Despite his age, he continues to deliver and this quality is something that definitely makes him an appealing target with his low price tag being considered as well.

Even if the player might not exactly be a priority target for Barcelona, he is still appreciated by the club because of such factors. Flick, in particular, seems to really value his versatility and experience from his time in the Bundesliga. However, the player is reportedly waiting for Barcelona before making any big moves himself.
As per Romano, PSV have already put forward a renewal offer for the player to continue with them, but he is still waiting for Barcelona. Only once he knows for sure that the Catalan giants will not be looking to sign him would he finally renew his contract.
For Barcelona, on the other hand, the top priority attacking target this summer still seems to be Luis Diaz. The Liverpool forward, however, is still quite expensive and the Catalan giants will have to consider their options and whether or not their financial situation would allow for certain movements in the transfer market. As for the Colombian winger himself, he reportedly seems to be interested in joining Barcelona this summer as well.
