Inter Milan, Juventus, and Napoli target Albert Gudmundsson wants his next club to be within Serie A if he leaves Genoa.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper also reports that Gudmundsson is particularly fond of the city of Naples.

Genoa forward Gudmundsson is sure to be one of the hot names on the transfer market this summer.

The 26-year-old has had a real breakout campaign with Genoa in the Ligurian club’s return to Serie A.

Having helped the Grifone back to the top flight last season, this campaign Gudmundsson has made the step up seamlessly.

The former AZ Alkmaar forward is Genoa’s top scorer for the season with fourteen goals. He has also assisted a further four.

There is interest in Gudmundsson’s signature from the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur in particularly have been linked with a move for the Icelander.

But according to the Corriere, Gudmundsson would prefer to remain in Serie A.

Several of Italy’s biggest clubs are keen on Gudmundsson.

Inter reportedly see the Icelander as having the ideal profile to add depth and versatility to their attack for next season.

The Nerazzurri have been the club with the most persistent links to Gudmundsson. However, Juventus and Napoli are both eyeing up the 26-year-old.

And according to the Corriere, Gudmundsson’s desire is to stay in Italy.

The Genoa forward is happy with the progress that he’s made since joining Genoa in January of 2022. He feels that Serie A is a good fit for him and is the right environment to continue in.

Moreover, the Corriere report, Gudmundsson enjoys life in Italy as a country.

Additionally, according to the Corriere, Gudmundsson has a particular fondness for the city of Naples. That could very well give Napoli the edge in the race for his signature.
