In truth, the Baggies could have perhaps won by more and the controlled performance is sure to have delighted Corberan, with his side now closing in on the top six.

Here we look at THREE things we learnt from the game…

Okay Yokuslu is a class above

The entire West Brom squad have improved under Corberan but it’s particularly the case with Yokuslu.

That’s not to say the Turkish international was poor before, however he has gone up a level since and is putting in some pretty complete displays in the middle of the park.

Usually you’re praising his defensive work, with Yokuslu once again making key interceptions and using the ball smartly. He did all that once again and added in two goals for good measure.

It was an outstanding display and many Albion fans will feel they have the best midfielder in the league when Yokuslu is playing like this.

There is good strength in depth

Many felt Albion had a good squad before a ball was kicked this season and it’s finally proving to be the case.

This was a good win and it was done with Daryl Dike, John Swift, Semi Ajayi and Karlan Grant on the bench, among other proven players at this level.

When you add in the likes of Matt Phillips, Kyle Bartley and Jake Livermore didn’t make the squad through illness and injury, it’s fair to say this is a group with a lot of options available to Corberan.

The January window is coming but Albion aren’t in a position where they desperately need reinforcements.

Finally, you have to say that West Brom are now firmly in the hunt for promotion via the play-offs.

They’re just a point away from the top six and whilst the top two look out of reach, Albion will now be expecting to extend their season with two play-off games.

It’s a remarkable turnaround in a matter of months under Corberan and there will be a belief that Albion can return to the top-flight under his guidance.
