Dani Ceballos can fill the Cazorla-shaped hole

As Arsenal declined under Arsène Wenger, the invention and technical quality they became famous for quickly deserted them.

Mesut Özil lost form, Aaron Ramsey was phased out and Santi Cazorla – so crucial to their recent success – was out for two years.

But the loan of Dani Ceballos already looks an inspired one.

He was brilliant against Burnley. Twisting, turning, finding team-mates with neat touches and surging forward at every opportunity.

This is exactly what the Gunners have lacked and Emery should be keeping Real Madrid on speed dial.

Burnley will cause teams plenty of problems

Burnley have always been a difficult side to play against and this game was more evidence of that.

They are well organised in two banks of four, hard working and have two awkward strikers up front.

Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes are a complete throwback, battling for everything, often embracing the dark arts.

Barnes in particular stuck to David Luiz all afternoon and even if his goal was fortunate, still tucked it away.

Dyche’s men will trouble more sides this season.

Aubameyang to the rescue … yet again

Where would Arsenal be without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang?

He scored the winner at St James’ Park last weekend and he was again the saviour against Burnley on Saturday.

Few strikers in England can match his output and is there even a danger of him going under the radar?

His goal was taken beautifully and that’s now 34 goals in 51 Premier League games since his arrival.

Lacazette is fantastic and Pépé showed some nice touches, but Auba is clearly the main man.
