It was an entertaining lunchtime kick-off as Leicester came from behind twice to draw 2-2 against Manchester United.

Goals from Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes were cancelled out by Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes.

Here are three points we took from the game …

That man again

Whenever Manchester United play, Bruno Fernandes scores or assists. This pattern continued on Boxing Day for a club who feel their £55m investment has already paid dividends.

His assist for Marcus Rashford was slightly fortuitous but two Leicester defenders vacated their positions for a reason – he is the danger man.

With the game finely balanced, the 26-year-old made a beautiful run in behind before finishing past Kasper Schmeichel when Rashford and Anthony Martial previously failed.

That’s now 17 goals and 13 assists in 28 Premier League games for Bruno since joining United, and his presence continues to catapult the side to new heights.

Same old story

What separates good sides from great sides is how you manage football matches. Manchester United currently have no idea how to manage football matches.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer repeatedly proves his doubters wrong but can he please sit down his players, and tell them they don’t need to play every game at 100 miles per hour?

They went ahead with 15 minutes left and instead of slowing play and controlling possession, they completely panicked and sat off Leicester – almost inviting them on.

Passes were misplaced, runners were not followed and despite the unfortunate deflection, marking Jamie Vardy in the six yard box seems ideal? It was the same old story.

Wonderful Wesley

It’s not exactly a secret, but how good has Wesley Fofana been for Leicester? Our admiration grows for him with each passing week.

Alongside Jonny Evans, the 20-year-old completed x tackles, x interceptions and x clearances, firmly cementing himself as first-choice material with Çaglar Söyüncü out injured.

His class was typified during a two versus one break, where he covered the man (Daniel James) and the passing lane (Bruno Fernandes) perfectly before winning a throw in.

Don’t forget William Saliba was considered the more exciting prospect during their time at Saint-Étienne. How quickly things change in football.
