West Brom have endured a miserable start to the season, with Steve Bruce’s side having recorded just one win in ten games.

Whilst they have drawn seven times, Albion are outside the relegation zone on goal difference as it stands, which is very poor for a side that were expected to push for automatic promotion this season.

Of course, it’s still far too soon to write off any promotion challenge, but it’s clear that results need to improve quickly.

Therefore, Bruce knows he needs to find the right formula after the international break and here we look at THREE options on the mind of the manager…

Bringing Tom Rogic in

Bringing in the former Celtic man was a real coup and he has the ability to really make a difference at this level.

Having joined late, this break will give the Australian the chance to build up his fitness and it comes at the right time in that sense.

So, he should be ready to be involved against Swansea and Rogic may be worth building the team around as he does boast real quality.

Are these 10 facts about West Brom actually true?

The club were founded in 1878. True or false?

True False

Switching the formation

This would be a bit more drastic but it’s clear that things aren’t working at the moment.

A back three would be difficult with the centre-back options, although it could make the side more solid. Alternatively, having two strikers is another option for Bruce if he wants to try something else.

The 4-2-3-1 seems good on paper but results suggest it isn’t working.

Sticking with an XI

Finally, it still feel as though Bruce hasn’t settled on his best XI.

In fairness, with Erik Pieters and Rogic just arriving, whilst other recruits came later in the window, he hasn’t had a settled side.

At right-back, centre-back, central midfield, out wide and up top there are doubts over who should be playing – and that’s too much uncertainty.

Now, he needs to go with what he feels is the best team and give them a chance to justify that faith.
