3 Barcelona stars report for training despite being given day off by Hansi Flick | OneFootball

A trio of first-team stars reported to the club’s training ground on Tuesday, despite having been afforded the day off by manager Hansi Flick.

That’s according to Carlos Monfort of Jijantes, who has provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Barcelona, of course, are fresh off adding to their silverware haul for the campaign.

Owing to a 2-0 derby victory over Espanyol last week, the Blaugrana put themselves out of reach of 2nd-placed Real Madrid in the La Liga title, securing Spanish champion status in the process.

This ensured a domestic treble for Hansi Flick in his first season in Spain, with the Copa del Rey and Supercopa de España already in the bag.

With as much in mind, Barca’s headmaster afforded his squad a well-earned rest early this week, with training having not been scheduled on either Monday, or Tuesday.

As alluded to above, though, this did not stop a trio of Blaugrana stars from reporting to The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper this morning.

As per a report from Carlos Monfort:

‘Gavi, Íñigo Martínez and Andreas Christensen went to train at the Ciutat Esportiva despite it being a holiday.’
