3 Arsenal players named in England Euro 2024 squad | OneFootball

Gareth Southgate has named his provisional England squad ahead of Euro 2024, with three Arsenal players included.

Gareth Southgate has named his provisional England squad for the upcoming international break, selecting an initial 33 players with the intention to cut the squad down to a final 26 by the June 7th Euro 2024 deadline.

Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, and Aaron Ramsdale have all been named in the squad.

It’s no surprise to see Saka and Rice involved in the provisional squad, with both players starting regularly for England in recent years. Though it is comforting to see that Saka’s final-week Arsenal injury isn’t serious enough to rule him out.

Ramsdale also isn’t a shock inclusion given his regular involvement in Southgate’s squads, though his limited minutes with Arsenal did cast a bit of doubt on the situation.

As for Ben White, it seems player and manager are yet to mend the burning bridge between them. Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe, and Reiss Nelson are also all eligible, but none of them were likely to be called up.

Arsenal Euro 2024 potential and confirmed call-ups

Group A

Kai Havertz has been called up by Germany, whilst on-loan Kieran Tierney will have ended his spell with Real Sociedad and will almost certainly start for Scotland.

Group B

David Raya should receive a Spain call-up, though he’s unlikely to play ahead of Unai Simon. Jorginho should be involved and starting for Italy.

Group C

Aaron Ramsdale, Bukayo Saka, and Declan Rice have all been called up by England, with Saka and Rice likely starters.

Arsenal loan striker Mika Biereth is technically eligible for Denmark and in excellent form, but he’s yet to make his senior international debut and this is an unlikely time for him to get it.

Group D

William Saliba has been called up by France, and Jakub Kiwior will hope to be involved with Poland. Jurrien Timber has been left out by the Netherlands, still yet to return to first-team football after his ACL injury.

Group E

Oleksandr Zinchenko has been called up by Ukraine, and Leandro Trossard is likely to start for Belgium.

Albert Sambi Lokonga is also eligible for Belgium, but his recent injuries and the fact he hasn’t been involved with the national team for a while make it unlikely he’ll get a call-up.

Group F
