What’s clear is that Klopp’s legacy at the club will long outlive him, and in years to come supporters will undoubtedly look back at his time in charge and pinpoint matches such as the comeback against Barcelona as being the pinnacle.

The way his teams have played football has often put them on another level when being compared to their Premier League contemporaries, so if there are players that the German has identified during his time at the club but they have not yet signed, the new regime will do well to run the rule over them once more.

One player that apparently remains a Liverpool target is PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko.

According to Fichajes, the player was always on the list for a potential switch in time for the 2024/25 campaign, and it appears that such a move could still be on.
