Kostas Tsimikas is attracting interest from Turkey this summer with Fenerbahce reportedly keen on trying to sign him from Liverpool.

The left-back joined last summer as competition for Andy Robertson but endured a tough first campaign at Anfield.

Indeed, fitness problems prevented him from getting any real momentum going and it now remains to be seen what the future holds for him.

Liverpool, of course, could well want to keep him for next season as he is, as mentioned, chief back-up to Andy Robertson but, according to Fotomac in Turkey, that is not deterring Fener at the moment.

The report alleges that they want to sign the Greek international and even goes on to claim that Liverpool might be willing to let him go, on a short-term basis at least.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

The Greek international is a decent player and there will be a lot of clubs interested in him if Liverpool are open to letting him go.

However, there’s probably a feeling with the Reds that he still has something to prove and offer and providing he can stay fit he’ll have his part to play next year.

Certainly, there seems no real need to move him on unless a massive offer comes in.
