Marcus Rashford reveals he is excited to play with Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo as he nears a return from injury

Speaking in an interview (h/t Metro), Marcus Rashford has claimed that he would be pleased to be playing alongside Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo soon as he looks to recover from his injury.

The 23-year-old was playing through the pain last season for his boyhood club as he led them to the UEFA Europa League final. However, after the Euros with England this summer, it was decided that Rashford would undergo shoulder surgery.

Nearing a full return to action now, it would be the Englishman’s first chance to feature alongside the club’s summer signings, including a legend in Cristiano Ronaldo. Probably too young when the Portuguese was plying his trade under Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford, Rashford has now revealed that it would be dream come true to play with the 36-year-old.

The forward’s return is certainly one Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have been longing for. The club entered the international break in poor form and now have a heavy fixture schedule. Thus, with top teams to play in the matter of a few days, the Norwegian boss will have his young disciple raring to go as he looks to get back to full match fitness.
