The first of our mid-season County League round-ups takes us to Beds & Herts, Birmingham, Cambridgeshire, Cheshire, Cornwall, Cumbria, Derbyshire, Dorset, Devon and Durham.
Beds & Herts
While Hitchin Belles Blues currently top the Premier, Stotfold and St Margaretsbury are in strong positions with Ampthill Town also having played fewer games. Garston Mets have won all their eight games to date in Division 1, where Berkhamsted are the other unbeaten side. MK United lead Division 2 from Bedwell Rangers but better placed to challenge are Harpenden Town Colts, Hitchin Town, Bury Rangers as well as Everett. Leighton Woodside are a couple of points clear of Hitchin Town Canaries in Division 3, followed by the chasing pack of Welwyn United, Ruislip Rangers 2nd XI, Bedford Albion and Cranfield United.
Birmingham
Leamington Ladies lead the 14-team Premier by four points from Lye Town Women, while Coton Green have three games in hand on the top two. SJB and Coundon Court Reds are Division 1’s leading pair but Long Itchington Development can catch both. Coleshill Town’s Division 3 leadership is under threat mainly from Tamworth Mercia who have only dropped two points.

Alan Boswell Group Cambridgeshire
Fulbourn Institute Bluebirds are Division 1 leaders from Eaton Socon, while Godmanchester Town in third are also very much title contenders. South Lincolnshire Swifts are in pole position in Division 2, Soham Town Rangers are the closest rivals but Deeping Rangers boast a perfect record. Ely City are eight points clear in Division 3 but pursued by a trio of teams with three games in hand; Cardea Reserves, Saffron Walden and Whittlesey Athletic Development.

Cheshire
Altrincham and Chester Development sit first and second respectively in the Premier but both have been beaten four times, while AFC Crewe have yet to lose and Nantwich Town also well positioned for a challenge. Wythenshawe 2nds are first in Championship East in front of Nantwich Town Development, Witton Albion are seven points better off than Winsford Town in the Championship West title race.
Earthbound Electrical Cornwall
Bodmin have a narrow lead over Redruth United in the Premier but St Dennis, St Agnes and Saltash Borough have all started well and with games to make up. Division 1 leaders are Newquay by two points from Ludgvan but Lanner would overtake both if they won their games in hand. Redruth United Development are five points ahead of St Agnes Reserves and St Buryan in Division 2.

Andrea Buggy Cumbria
The league plays a Spring/Summer competition which was won by Newlaithes, who finished five points in front of Workington Diamonds, while Whitehaven were third.
Derbyshire
Draycott Victoria’s six-point advantage at the top of Division 1 can be cancelled out by Borrowash Victoria, who have a couple of matches to catch up. Gresley Rovers’ Division 2 leadership is also under threat, as Castle Donington and Matlock Town can both overtake them from their games in hand. It is nine wins from nine for Sleetmoor United in Division 3, everyone else has been defeated at leats three times including second-placed Hatton United.

Sports Lighting Devon
Seven straight wins sees Appledore 13 points clear in the Premier, with Bradworthy and Budleigh Salterton both just having the two games in hand. Braunton have seven wins from seven in the North/East Division to sit just a point short of leaders Fremington from two games fewer, while Seaton Town are three points back in third. Horrabridge Rangers have won eight of nine games so far in the South/West Division, Shaldon Villa seven of eight.

Dorset
Shaftesbury and Dorchester Town are dominating the league, the former only dropping two points from 33 to date, the latter six points behind with a game in hand. In the Recreational Division, Sherborne Town have a 100% record from 11 matches to sit well clear of Bournemouth Manor and Swanage Town & Herston.

Durham
Stockton Town lead League One but Birtley Town have won every game so far and are three points behind from two games fewer. Top of league Two are Durham Cestria Reserves after nine wins in a row, Spennymoor Town Reserves are a distant second and FC Hartlepool are chasing them for the runners-up spot. Spennymoor Town Development are seven points ahead of Chester Le Street United Reserves in League Three but have played two games more. Hurworth Albion and Sunderland Leon are neck-and-neck in the Development Division title race, Newcastle Castle United have a 100% record in the Recreational Division to lead from Hebburn Town Golds.
