The Confederation of African Football has appointed Antsino Twanyanyukwa to referee the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations final, where Nigeria will face Morocco. This tournament decider will take place on Saturday, July 26 at 8pm GMT at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.

Antsino Twanyanyukwa is making history as the first Namibian national to officiate a Women's AFCON final. At just 33 years old, she receives this honor after impressing with her composure and firm officiating throughout the competition.

"I did not expect this at all; I'm still in shock. But with God, anything is possible. The Women's AFCON is a major tournament and expectations are high. We have to step in knowing the whole continent is watching us and give our very best. I believe I have the talent and the potential. They've seen what I can do, and now it's up to me to prove it and show it on the pitch," Antsino said.

The final will be officiated by a 100% female team. Alongside Antsino, Rwanda's Alice Umutesi will serve as assistant referee 1, while Senegal's Tabara Mbodji will be assistant referee 2. In the VAR booth, Rwanda's Salima Mukansanga—an iconic figure in African women's refereeing—will provide her expertise, joined by Letticia Viana (Eswatini) and Diana Chikotesha (Zambia).

"The all-female refereeing team for the final reflects CAF's ongoing investment in women's football and its commitment to creating opportunities for women at every level of the game," the governing body stated.
