The 2024 FIFPRO Women's World 11 has been revealed as five Lionesses have made the final cut.
Over 7,000 players voted for their team of the year, with the initial 26-player shortlist unveiled last week. England is the most represented nation in this year's 11 and they have now overtaken the United States as the leader in all-time appearances.
Despite the USWNT's triumph at the Olympics in Paris, neither of their two nominees in Naomi Girma and Lindsey Horan made the final selection. Spain are represented by three of their stars after winning the UEFA Nations League earlier this year.
Lucy Bronze, Mary Earps, Alex Greenwood, Lauren James and Keira Walsh were all selected by their fellow professionals. Bronze, who was part of Barcelona's quadruple-winning team last season and now plays for Chelsea in the WSL, has equalled the current women's appearance record (7), which she shares with Lyon's Wendie Renard.
Bronze told FIFPRO: "It feels amazing to be in the FIFPRO World 11. It's voted for by your fellow players who you play with and against throughout the season, throughout the year, so it's always the most special [award]."
Earps added: "It's lovely to be voted into the FIFPRO World 11. I'm pretty shocked, to be honest; I know that the players could have voted for a few goalkeepers who had a really good season.
"I didn't expect it but, of course, it's very nice. I'm very grateful that my peers – the people I play with and against – voted me into this position."
