An opening day 3-0 victory at home to Peterborough was then backed up by a disastrous 5-0 loss against Birmingham at Kenilworth Road.

Their latest match on home soil was a 0-0 draw with Sheffield United, showing that it has been a rollercoaster of a start at home this season.

24 questions about some of Luton Town’s best ever strikers – Can get 100% correct?

Between what years did Brian Stein play for Luton Town?

1975-1986

1976-1987

1977-1988

1978-1989

Nathan Jones’ side come up against Swansea City, who sit just a point above the relegation zone, picking up six points from their opening six games.

Scoring just four goals thus far, The Swans are the joint-lowest scorers in the division, but Martin’s side do boast excellent percentage and passing accuracy figures, a key component of how he likes his team to play.

Return of Jordan Clark

Jordan Clark enjoyed an exceptional pre-season, and he was incredibly influential against Peterborough on the opening day, but an injury against West Brom the week after has forced him to miss the last few games.

He is nearing full fitness, and should he be fit, Jones could look to integrate him straight into the starting team.

Depending on whether or not Luton stick with the five-at-the-back to match The Swans, Clark’s position will be subject to change, given he is an extremely versatile option.

Clark has the ability to unlock defences and consistently create chances for The Town, being the progressive midfielder that Luton have been missing in his absence.

Elijah Adebayo for Cameron Jerome

Three games in a week could prove to be too much for Cameron Jerome, meaning Elijah Adebayo could return to the starting line up.

The 23-year-old’s aerial ability and strength, coupled with his quick footwork and clever attacking movement, makes him an excellent option for Jones to have back available.

Adebayo was a little too eager to impress when he came on against Bristol City, with numerous offsides calls and fouls given against him, but it was his decision to gamble that caused Dan Bentley a problem in The Robins net, allowing Danny Hylton to tap home the equaliser.
