2 tweaks Ian Evatt could make ahead of Bolton Wanderers v Charlton Athletic

Bolton Wanderers travel to London this Saturday as they prepare to take on Charlton Athletic at the Valley.
The Trotters come into this game after picking up all three points last time out, as they beat Forest Green Rovers 1-0 on Tuesday night.
Last weekend’s defeat to Derby County ended a run of eight games unbeaten in all competitions, but that is their only defeat in their last 10 games.
Bolton head into this game sitting in fifth place on 47 points, seven points adrift of third-place Ipswich Town and six points ahead of seventh-place Wycombe Wanderers.
The head to face a Charlton side that will be looking to claim a fourth consecutive league win, as the Addicks have started to hit a run of form under Dean Holden. Last time out, the Addicks managed a 2-0 win over promotion rivals Barnsley.
As this game approaches, here at FLW, we have taken a look at two possible tweaks Ian Evatt could make ahead of the game…
Jerome starts
Bolton have today confirmed the signing of experienced striker Cameron Jerome. The 36-year-old left Luton Town by mutual consent and has now joined the Trotters on an 18-month deal.
Wanderers have confirmed that Jerome is able to be part of the matchday squad for their visit to Charlton, and the 36-year-old could be in line to make his debut for the club.
This is because Elias Kachunga, who started the game against Forest Green Rovers, is set to serve a three-game ban. Kachunga showed the bad side of his game in midweek, as there was an incident during the game where he lashed out and punched an opposition player in the stomach, and the referee sent Dion Charles off in a case of mistaken identity. However, it emerged that it was in fact Kachunga that was at fault and will now be subsequently suspended for three games.
This means Bolton are quite light at the top end of the pitch heading into this game. It was mentioned earlier today that Bolton was trying to get a signing over the line before tomorrow’s game, and it has now been confirmed.
Therefore, there is a possibility that Jerome starts tomorrow, given that he’s eligible. The 26-year-old has featured heavily for Luton this season, even if his role has been more of a substitute one.
Jerome arrives at the University of Bolton Stadium with match sharpness, so as Bolton are light, Ian Evatt could turn to Jerome to partner Charles up front.

Kieran Lee to return
As this game is expected to be a physical battle and a tough test for the visitors, Evatt could look to bring Kieran Lee back into the starting XI.
The 34-year-old was brought out of the team during the week and replaced by Manchester United loanee Shola Shoretire, and while the young man is expected to feature heavily, this game could see Lee return.
Lee has played 19 times in League One so far, scoring three goals and providing a single assist. While he has been the captain in six of Bolton’s last eight games, a signal that he is a player that is trusted and respected by Evatt. When the 34-year-old has played this season, he has operated in the number 10 role, just behind the two strikers, and this is a position he could be put in again this Saturday.
Lee brings composure and experience to Wanderers’ midfield, and with Charlton being a side that is in form and looking dangerous, Evatt may turn to his trusted midfield trio for this important clash.
