During the current transfer window, Cardiff have opted to engage in a plethora of transfer activity.

As well as parting ways with a number of individuals, the Bluebirds have bolstered their squad by securing the services of 15 players.

With the window set to close at the start of September, it will be interesting to see whether Cardiff make any further moves in the market.

Here, we have decided to take a look at two realistic signings that the Bluebirds should be looking to make…

Lewis Grabban

Following Nottingham Forest’s promotion to the Premier League, Lewis Grabban opted to part ways with the club and is currently a free-agent.

Although Cardiff are able to turn to Max Watters, Kion Etete and Mark Harris for inspiration in the striker position, they could find it extremely beneficial to call upon the services of a player who possesses a wealth of experience in the Championship.

Grabban certainly fits the bill as he has scored 112 goals in the 290 appearances that he has made at this level.

Whereas the 34-year-old is now in the twilight of his career, he demonstrated last season that he is still more than capable of competing in the second-tier.

During the 31 league appearances that he made for Forest in the previous term, Grabban managed to find the back of the net on 12 occasions whilst he also chipped in with four assists.

Liam Delap

Whilst Cardiff have scored three goals in all competitions this season, they are still waiting for an out-and-out striker to find the back of the net.

If these problems persist, the Bluebirds should consider Liam Delap as an alternative option to Grabban.

As per The Independent, Manchester City are willing to loan out the forward who has scored 32 goals in the Premier League 2 Division 1 for their Under-23 side in recent seasons.

Unlike Grabban, Delap has only just started his career and thus could potentially make considerable strides in terms of his development under the guidance of Cardiff manager Steve Morison.

However, with Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion both interested in signing Delap on a temporary deal, Cardiff will need to act quickly in order to have the best chance of securing his services for the remainder of the campaign.
