2 Real Madrid, 1 Barcelona: La Liga Player of the Season nominees announced | OneFootball

The nominees for La Liga Player of the Season 2023/24 have on Wednesday been announced.

And a whole host of high-profile names, as expected, have been included on the shortlist.

Two clubs are represented by a pair of candidates, in the form of champions Real Madrid, and surprise package Girona.

From the former, Jude Bellingham and Vinícius Jr. have received the nod, whilst Míchel’s Girona see Artem Dovbyk and Aleix García’s efforts recognised.

Elsewhere, at Barcelona, Robert Lewandowski’s 17 goals have proven enough to earn the Pole a place as the sole POTS nominee from Xavi’s Blaugrana ranks.

And rounding out the 10-man shortlist are representatives from the likes of Atlético Madrid, Real Betis and Villarreal.

Voting is now open on the La Liga website, and will remain so until this coming Sunday, at 11:59pm. The prize will be handed out at the La Liga end-of-season gala on May 28th.
