Forest keeping eye on five-goal Millwall star

One saga that could have some more twists and turns this week is the one involving Jed Wallace at Millwall.

The player has been on fire for the Lions this season and has been one of their main players over the last few campaigns. It has led to interest from afar and with his deal coming to an end soon, now could be the time for the club to cash-in if they can’t tie him down to new terms.

One side considering a bid is Nottingham Forest who, despite facing competition from other teams for his signature, will be desperate to add a player to their ranks who is not only a proven Championship goalscorer but is in the prime of his career.

A deal could also be done on the cheap and the latest news from Nottinghamshire Live over a deal is that Millwall are preparing to let him leave – meaning that Forest could soon have a deal for the player wrapped up.

Forest face competition for signature of Blackpool man

Another winger that Nottingham Forest have been linked with this month is Josh Bowler of Blackpool.

Steve Cooper’s side are on the hunt for some more creative, attacking players and the 22-year-old would certainly fit that bill. He’s already proven he can cut it in the second tier and his age is on his side too, meaning there is the potential to get even better.

However, the latest report from TeamTALK on the player is that Fulham and Blackburn are now also in the race to try and sign him – and that means it won’t be as straightforward for Forest to land him this window.

Instead, they now face a tug-of-war to try and bring him to the City Ground. The saga could unravel further this week, if either of the new interested parties lodge an official bid. If they do, then Forest will have to decide if they too want to match any bid or begin to look elsewhere.
