La Liga outfit Sevilla’s return to training on Wednesday gave rise to a number of noteworthy takeaways, when it comes to the options at the disposal of boss Quique.
On the back of another important victory at the weekend, on this occasion at the expense of Real Sociedad, Sevilla’s stars were afforded two days of rest to start the week.
This morning, though, the Nervionenses were back at it, at the club’s José Ramón Cisneros Palacios training base.
And, in a boost ahead of an upcoming meeting with La Liga basement dwellers Almería, two sidelined members of Quique’s ranks were spotted back amongst the first-team group.
The pair in question? Marcos Acuña, and Marcão.
Both defenders, in turn, are expected to be in contention for a return to the pitch next Monday night.
On the other hand, two other high-profile members of the Sevilla setup were fresh absentees, owing to respective injury problems picked up against Real Sociedad last time out.
Juanlu is expected to spend at least the next couple of weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring problem, whilst Jesús Navas’ ankle sprain is likely to rule the Nervionenses’ captain out against Almería, too.
Lucas Ocampos, as a result, looks the most likely option to fill the visitors’ right flank at the Power Horse Stadium on Monday night.
