Kyle Walker and John Stones are undergoing injury scans as they race to be available for Manchester City’s clash with Arsenal on Sunday.

Manchester City have a number of injury worries ahead of their match against Arsenal on Sunday, with a few players racing against time to be involved in the match.

Jack Gaughan and Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail report that Kyle Walker is a ‘serious doubt’ for the match, and he’s set for a scan on his injury on Thursday.

John Stones is also reportedly set for a scan, with both players coming off early in England friendlies over the international break.

Jeremy Cross of the Daily Star reports that Stones is losing his battle to be fit for Arsenal. As per the Mail, Cross claims Stones is still to undergo a scan, but he’s not hopeful of making it back in time.

Martin Blackburn of The S*n claims Walker is a major doubt for Sunday. Initial reports suggested Walker would be fine for the game, but Blackburn claims that now looks less likely.

Blackburn adds that Manuel Akanji is also ‘a doubt’ for the game, and the Mail add that Ederson is being monitored ahead of the match, following a recent injury of his own.

There’s better news for City from Rob Dawson of ESPN. Though he reports that Walker and Stones are doubts for this match, he adds that Walker’s injury isn’t believed to be serious.

Elsewhere, Dawson reports that Kevin De Bruyne returned to u23 training on Tuesday following a groin injury, and he’s expected to be in first-team training on Thursday.

Jack Grealish has also been training, following his return to the Manchester City bench in their last game against Newcastle United.
