Real Madrid's upcoming Champions League rivals, Borussia Mönchengladbach, has a tough match on Saturday, eventually coming through to beat Mainz 05 3-2. Marco Rose's team came back from 2-1 down to take all three points ahead of welcoming the Whites on Tuesday night (9:00pm CEST).

Borussia took the lead after 15 minutes through Stindl but Mainz responded through a Mateta brace on 23' and 36'. The leveller didn't arrive until the 76th minute, thanks to a penalty converted by Hofmann. With 83 on the clock, Hofmann was involved again, whipping in a corner which Ginter turned into the net to clinch the win.
