Even though Real Madrid’s La Fabrica academy produces a plethora of young talent with potential, the transition to the first-team setup is not always easy due to the competition for places at the elite level.
But every once in a while there is a talent that does manage to break through the barrier, with Nico Paz proving to be one such player.
One of the most highly-regarded young prospects at the club, the 19-year-old has made his senior breakthrough in the ongoing campaign.
Even though young Nico Paz is seeing more and more exposure with the Real Madrid first team under Carlo Ancelotti of late, he remains a Castilla player for all intents and purposes.
But, MARCA is reporting that when the next season comes rolling, the Argentine midfield prodigy will be a first-team player for certain.
Nico Paz made his senior bow for Real Madrid last month when he came on as a substitute in the UEFA Champions League clash against SC Braga.
Since then, he has featured in each of Los Blancos’ matches in all competitions, and even opened his goalscoring account as well, with a stunning strike against Napoli.
The injuries to players like Eduardo Camavinga, Arda Guler, and Luka Modric have opened the window of opportunity for the Argentine this season. But he continues to essay a key role for Castilla, having netted seven goals in 11 league appearances for Raul’s side.
However, come next season, Nico Paz will be a first-team player through and through, which does not come as a surprise considering that he is held in very high regard at the club.
