Club football is officially on pause for the international break, but it left us with plenty to savour with Arsenal vs Manchester United just one of the brilliant matches we enjoyed this weekend.
The insanely dramatic clash at the Emirates stole the show, capping off a Premier League weekend of excellent goals and eye-catching performances. There were also fantastic matches played lower down the pyramid, in non-league, across Europe and in MLS.
Here are 19 things we loved from this weekend’s action.
Making himself an instant hero at the Emirates.
A ridiculous stat.
One of the most brilliantly improvised assists we’ve seen in years.
Fair play, Ronnie.
Ridiculous strike.
The relief on his face when Aberdeen came up…
What a joker. Textbook.
Jurgen Klopp who? He’s absolutely mad for it.
A brilliant triple save, even if he knew very little about the second one. Being there is all that matters.
Another match winner. Another iconic celebration. Can’t wait to see this guy in the Bernabeu on those Champions League nights.
Stop that, Anthony. He’s made Mudryk look a fool, there.
He’s still got it.
A life-affirming goal.
A gorgeous assist that made Leeds fans weep at what might have been.
Filth.
Get us over to the Georgian league, pronto.
That silence is eerie, powerful and strangely beautiful (we’re neither Rangers nor Celtic for the record).
Struggling to remember a better one.
Bullet.
