Jayden Danns has committed his future to Liverpool by signing a new long-term contract with the Premier League club.

Backtrack two months ago and most fans would not know who the 18-year-old was, but the last month and a bit has been special for the forward.

Liverpool experienced an injury crisis at the start of 2024 and that led to several young stars getting their chance with the senior team. Danns got the call-up as Jurgen Klopp was impressed with his performances and attitude around the training ground.

In the space of an unforgettable week in late February, Danns made his debut off the bench against Luton Town, produced a lively cameo in the Carabao Cup final triumph over Chelsea, and scored twice in front of the Kop in the FA Cup victory over Southampton.

The forward has now been offered a new deal for his efforts.

According to The Athletic, Danns has received a new contract with improved terms as a result of his efforts in recent weeks.

Danns has scored 21 goals in all competitions at youth level for Liverpool Under-18s and Under-21s this season, as well as two for the first team.

It is hard to predict where the 18-year-old will go from here but it is clear that the Merseyside club have faith in the forward.

This new contract is well deserved following his efforts at the end of February and Liverpool fans are likely to see a lot more goals from the youngster over the coming years.
