FC Barcelona continue to focus their priorities towards first renewing their current players. Only after the Catalan giants secure the signatures they need would they move towards the foreign market. Yet, it seems that Barcelona still have quite some way to go before they can secure the players they want to continue with.

Many of these players also happen to be talented youngsters whose future Barcelona want to coincide with their own. The likes of Pau Cubarsi, Fermin Lopez, and Lamine Yamal have already been shown such gestures, but others from within the subsidiary and quarry are still on the agenda.

Dani Rodriguez, aged 18, is one of Barça’s most promising forwards within the quarry. He has been an impactful piece in the youth teams this season, but unfortunately, his contract will come to an end in the summer by when it expires and he would be left to negotiate with any interested club.

As per reports, Athletic Club and his former side Real Sociedad are already quite eager to check on his future. However, Barcelona want to be a step ahead of this and thus, according to Mundo Deportivo, they have already sent a renewal proposal to him that aims to keep him with La Blaugrana for the future.

The new offer is primarily one that is based on economic improvement to show the player that his performances are valued. Given his valuable quality and improved progression, Barcelona are willing to trust him for the future and have consequently sent this offer to the Under-19 Spanish International.

Fortunately for Barcelona, MD reports that the player is considering his continuity with the club. He looks upon it favorably and those from within Barcelona and the club’s offices feel optimistic about getting the deal done with the player and guaranteeing his continuity.

Rodriguez originally arrived at Barcelona in 2020 from Real Sociedad. Since then, he has been fully committed to his contract with La Blaugrana and has come through the various youth stages ever since he was 14 years old.

Now, it is expected that despite the approaching end of his current contract, his agent Pini Zahavi, and the agent’s close friend Joan Laporta, who also happens to be president of FC Barcelona, will look to use their good ties with one another to ensure the 18-year-old’s continuity with the Catalan giants.
