Manchester United have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Brazilian winger Antony.
“Ajax have agreed a transfer fee of €95 million. Including add-ons, the fee could rise until €100 million,” Ajax revealed in their statement.
The 22-year-old’s move to Old Trafford is almost complete, barring any late hiccups in the agreement of personal terms and the medical.
The Athletic have reported that United will pay a fee of around €100m, including add-ons, to the Eredivisie champions.
Antony will become the fifth arrival of the transfer window for the Red Devils – following Lisandro Martínez, Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Casemiro.
The fee agreed will take United’s spending this summer to around the €200m mark.
Head Coach Erik ten Hag worked with the winger for two years after he arrived in Amsterdam from Sāo Paolo for €16m.
He scored 24 goals and provided 22 assists in his 84 appearances for Ajax.
