Inter Milan produced an emphatic away performance against Roma ahead of the clash against Real Madrid on the final matchday of the Champions League group stage. Calhanoglu, Dzeko and Dumfries got the goals for the visitors, who put the game to bed in the first half by going three goals ahead. Inzaghi’s side, who are currently second in Serie A behind AC Milan, faced a stern test at the Olympic Stadium but secured the spoils in some style.

Inter started strongly and took an early lead through Calhanoglu in the 15th minute. The visitors continued to dominate the play and were rewarded nine minutes later when Dzeko doubled their lead. Inzaghi’s side kept piling on the pressure on Rui Patricio’s goal and Dumfries put them three goals to the good before the break. Roma tried to fight back in the second half, but Inter were solid at the back and saw out the game to pick up all three points.
