Real Madrid Castilla drew against Fuenlabrada on the penultimate league matchday, their last at the Alfredo Di Stéfano. Our team was superior during the 90 minutes and had the clearest chances but were unable to take the win. Raúl's team will be looking for the three points again next week in Algeciras (Saturday 7:30pm CEST) before playing in the playoff for promotion to the second division.
After an even start, Castilla gradually took control of the ball and threatened on several occasions. Aranda, very active in attack, had the clearest chances before the break. First, he filtered a good ball through that did not find a finisher in the 34th minute and, shortly afterwards, with a powerful shot that the Fuenlabrada goalkeeper cleared with his fists. The first half ended with Madrid clearly dominating, but with no goals on the scoreboard. The second half started in the same vein. The reserves laying siege to their opponents in search of a goal. After several home chances, Fuenlabrada had a few good minutes in the middle of the second half. But De Luis was on hand to save the day. In 69', he got a touch on a Jara attempt that ended up hitting the crossbar and, in 85', he made a good save to keep out Barbosa's effort. Shortly before that Álvaro Rodríguez's shot hit the crossbar in the 80th minute. Despite trying until the end, Castilla were unable to take all three points.
