Real Madrid Castilla earned a point against Alcoyano on their visit to El Collao on league matchday fourteen. Neither team had any luck in front of goal and the game ended goalless. Raúl's men, who have now gone three away games without defeat, are already looking ahead to their next game, against San Fernando at the Alfredo Di Stéfano (Sunday, 8:00pm CET).

The home side dominated possession in the first half but failed to create any clear-cut chances. It was not until the half-hour mark that the reserves began to threaten. First, Aparicio fired a shot from inside the area that was parried away for a corner by the home defence. Then, in the 36th minute, Manuel Ángel had the best chance of the first half when his shot from a Peter pass hit the woodwork.

No luck in front of goal After the break, Lara tested Cañizares with a fierce shot from the edge of the area, but the Madrid goalkeeper made a fine save to keep it out (51'). Madrid's response came thirteen minutes later when Mario Martín's powerful long-range right-foot shot was cleared off the line by Jaume Valens. Chances were few and far between, but the final moments of the game were nail-biting. The home side could have won the game after a goalmouth scramble in the Madrid area, but Cañizares managed to trap the ball to deny the danger. Shortly after the end of normal time, David González could have scored the winner from a free-kick, but his shot flew just wide of the top corner. The points were finally shared at El Collao.
