0-0: All square in Getafe

Real Madrid picked up a point against Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez with a host of players missing. Zidane's side, who are now 15 games unbeaten, were solid at the back and recorded their second clean sheet on the bounce. Both teams created chances with the home side first to come close. With 7 minutes on the clock, Aleñá took a free-kick, Olivera headed goalwards, but Courtois saved well. The visitors' response came just a minute later. Militão's great through ball found the unmarked Mariano, who beat Soria one-on-one before converting, but VAR disallowed it for a narrow offside.

The match was being played at a very high tempo and Arambarri could have scored in the 10th minute, but his shot from inside the area went just wide. Mata had a better chance 13 minutes later, but his header came back off the post. Getafe's two good chances were followed by two more from Real Madrid. In the 28th minute, Marcelo crossed for Mariano and Timor cleared off the line. Odriozola's cross from the right in the 39th minute was met by the head of Vinicius Jr. but Soria kept it out with a great save. Getafe applied a higher press after the break and fashioned the first chance on 58’, when Ünal’s effort from the edge of the box was brilliantly kept out by Courtois. Zidane then shuffled his pack and introduced Benzema and Antonio Blanco, who made his debut, in place of Mariano and Rodrygo. The hosts once again drew a fine save from Courtois in the 78th minute as Maksimovic’s shot deflected off Chust. Real Madrid kept plugging away in search of a winner, but ultimately come away from the Coliseum with a point.
