Tottenham are set to lose goalkeeper Hugo Lloris for six-to-eight weeks after he suffered ligament damage in the win over Manchester City.

That is according to The Telegraph and football.london, who say the injury was sustained late on as Spurs beat the Premier League champions 1-0 on Sunday.

Lloris is not thought to need surgery at this stage but is now sidelined until after the March international break.

The news is a blow for Spurs, who face Leicester, West Ham, Chelsea, Wolves, Nottingham Forest and Southampton in the league before then.

Backup goalkeeper Fraser Forster will also have to step in for the Champions League double header with Milan as well as the FA Cup fifth round tie at Sheffield United.

Forster, who joined in the summer, has made just one Premier League appearance for Spurs this season, playing in the 2-2 draw with Brentford on Boxing Day.
