The transfer window is closed, but Chelsea’s ownership haven’t stopped the revolution.

Next on their to do list is to find a new main shirt sponsor. The deal with Three expires at the end of this season, and there is no sign that it will be renewed.

That’s great new for our shirts, which have been tainted by the big ugly “3” logo for too long now. But it’s bad news for our finances – unless we can find a sponsor willing to fork out more than the telecoms giant were.

Matt Law’s piece in the Telegraph today says that Chelsea are expecting to be able to beat the existing £40m a year deal, with the new ownership’s connections to American big business likely to be a factor.

Former Man City suit Tom Glick was appointed as our president of business before Christmas, and this will be his first major task in the job.
