But the first half so far hasn’t been a classic.

Both sides seem to be playing the occasion rather than the game and that’s transpired in their yellow card records in the first 45 minutes.

It’s been five in total with three to Arsenal and two to the Magpies.

That’s more bookings than in any first half of the season so far.
