Yoane Wissa is now refusing to train with Brentford to try as he tries to get his move to Newcastle United.

Sky Sports reporting that their information is that the 28 year old striker has informed the club he doesn’t intend to return to club training because of their stance on a transfer to St James’ Park.

Newcastle United had an opening bid of £25m turned down and had then made clear they would be prepared to up that to £35m.

However, Sky Sports say that Brentford are demanding significantly more than that for their striker who turns 29 in just over five weeks time.

They report that Yoane Wissa only wants to go to Newcastle United.

Other media have also covered this development and The Mail state that; ‘Yoane Wissa has told Brentford he will not play for them again & asks club to honour promise from last year he could leave this summer.’

Both Sky Sports and The Mail say that Newcastle United are still trying to get a deal done but if that doesn’t happen soon, they will move on to other striker targets.

This looks like a big push by both Yoane Wissa and Newcastle United to now get the deal completed. Quite where this would leave Brentford if Newcastle United walk away, is anybody’s guess. A very unhappy player on their hands.
