Kicker report that Wolfsburg are interested in signing Norwich City forward Josh Sargent (25) with the Bundesliga club looking to bolster their attack for the 2025/26 season. The US international scored 15 goals and provided five assists in 32 Championship games last season, but a return to Germany won’t come cheap.

Sargent has a contract with Norwich until 2028 but with the departures of Lukas Nmecha and Kevin Behrens, VfL are in desperate need of attacking options. More so because the futures of Jonas Wind and Mohamed Amoura remain uncertain.

Wolfsburg’s interest in Sargent comes after Fabio Silva rejected a move to the Lower Saxony club. The Portuguese attacker – who is expected to leave Wolves this summer – would prefer to play for a club that are playing in a European competition.

Die Wölfe have so far signed Mohamed Amoura and Denis Vavro on permanent deals, while also confirming the arrival of 17-year-old Polish goalkeeper Jakub Zielinski from Legia Warsaw for a reported €900k.
