Ömer Çelikbaşlı reports that VfL Wolfsburg and SV Werder Bremen are also interested in signing Serbian right back Ognjen Mimović from Fenerbahçe. The two Bundesliga clubs compete with their fellow German top division side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, who are rumored to have already submitted a formal offer.

Çelikbaşlı claims that Werder have offered to take the 20-year-old right back on loan with a €7m purchase option. In the case of the Hanseaten, much hinges on whether Bremen can complete a deal for a player presumed to be the preferred candidate: Isaac Schmidt of Leeds United.

Wolfsburg also find themselves on the market for a new right back and have been twice rebuffed in their pursuit of Romanian international Andrei Rațiu. The three Bundesliga clubs currently courting Mimović also confront competition from abroad.

Mimović only just joined Fenerbahçe in the recent January transfer window and has yet to appear for his Turkish club. The Süper Lig side paid €7.5m to twice-capped Serbian international from Red Star Belgrade, then immediately loaned him out to Zenit Saint Petersburg.

The fullback presently maintains a €3.5m estimated market value.
