After having signed for FC Barcelona in October 2024, the Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny had to wait till the start of 2025 to make his debut in a Blaugrana shirt.

However, since that time, the Pole has never looked back, and as things stand, he has firmly established himself as a starter in Hansi Flick’s team.

His outstanding performances for the Catalan side – remaining unbeaten in his 16 appearances so far – have already made him a fan favorite, a status further boosted by his frequent media appearances.

In his latest interview with ESPN (h/t Mundo Deportivo), the goalkeeper answered some highly interesting questions about his Barcelona teammates.

One such question that he was asked in this interview was to name the three players who cause him the most trouble in training sessions. After reflecting on the query for a moment, the Pole replied: “Cubarsí, Araujo, and Iñigo Martínez.”

However, he went on to joke that: “The Barça squad has good players… I’m not going to say Lewandowski because he would feel too good about it.”

Furthermore, Szczesny was also asked to name the three most technically gifted players in this Barcelona team, to which he replied: “Lamine Yamal, Pablo Torre, and Dani Olmo.”

Seeing Pablo Torre making this list ahead of other players like Frenkie de Jong, Raphinha, or Pedri is definitely going to raise some eyebrows, but it is still an interesting choice from the Polish goalkeeper.

But overall, this was another highly interesting interview from the Barcelona goalkeeper, who provided some honest feedback on his Blaugrana teammates.

In another such interview, the goalie had talked about his renewal at the Catalan club beyond the season, but as things stand, he is focused on the upcoming challenges at a crucial stage of the season and his renewal will only be addressed at the end of the current campaign.
