Winner of our Carabao Cup Final tickets competition now announced – Newcastle United v Liverpool | OneFootball

We launched a competition eight days ago (Friday 14 February) that offered Newcastle United fans the chance to win a pair of Carabao Cup Final tickets.

That Newcastle United v Liverpool final scheduled for Sunday 16 March and a 4.30pm kick-off.

This Carabao Cup final tickets competition ended on Friday (21 February) morning.

We were giving readers of The Mag the chance to win a pair of tickets for the final at Wembley Stadium in association with Experiences by Wembley Stadium.

Now the people at ‘Experiences by Wembley Stadium’ have informed us of the winner’s name, picked by a random number generator from the thousands who entered.

The winner of two Carabao Cup final tickets is… Phillipa Kerridge.

The competition organisers getting in touch directly with the winner to inform her and give details of how and when the tickets will be delivered.

Congratulations to Phillipa and whoever she takes with her to the final.

It will be 25 months since Newcastle United were last at Wembley for a domestic cup final and it has all the hallmarks of a classic occasion.

Here’s hoping the right outcome this time!

Nobody needs reminding that this would represent Newcastle United’s first silverware since 1969 (Fairs Cup).

Whilst as for domestic trophies, it is fully 70 years since in 1955 the black and whites triumphed in the FA Cup at Wembley.

It would also represent the very first time Newcastle United had won this particular competition, only two previous appearances in the final in 1976 and 2023, losing at Wembley to Manchester City and Manchester United respectively.
