La Liga giants Real Madrid were not permitted to play their part in incoming frontman Kylian Mbappé’s recovery process, following his recent facial injury.

That’s according to Marca, who have on Sunday provided an insight into the situation.

Attacker Mbappé, of course, suffered a rather gruesome broken nose earlier this month.

Whilst lining out for France at the European Championships, a clash in the Austria penalty area saw the 25-year-old left with a broken nose.

He has since been fitted with a facial mask, having come to the decision not to undergo surgery.

As alluded to above, though, playing no part in this call were Mbappé’s new club.

As per a report from Marca, Real Madrid were not allowed to provide their input on the situation, after seeing their latest Galáctico pick up his recent injury.

This came owing to the fact that, technically, Mbappé was not under contract at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Still on the books at Paris Saint-Germain, the responsibility was on the Ligue 1 champions, and the French national medical team, who ultimately came to the conclusion that conservative treatment would be best.
