Randal Kolo Muani’s loan move to Juventus has taken an unexpected twist. Despite everything being in place, from the medical examination to the signing of the documents, the official announcement is still on hold.
The reason? PSG has already hit its limit for players loaned abroad, with FIFA capping it at six this season.
The club has reached the quota with Xavi Simons (RB Leipzig), Carlos Soler (West Ham United), Nordi Mukiele (Bayer Leverkusen), Renato Sanches (Benfica), Cher Ndour (Besiktas), and Juan Bernat (Villarreal). This is a change from last season when FIFA allowed up to seven players on loan.
Kolo Muani’s loan deal to Juventus has hit a roadblock, leaving supporters frustrated with what they see as amateurism and a lack of understanding of the rules. Despite the situation, PSG appears calm.

L’Équipe reports that Juventus claim they were only informed of the loan issue with PSG between Thursday evening and Friday morning, though accounts differ. The Italian club was reportedly not told that PSG had already reached their loan limit.
Upon learning this, Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli was said to be livid, directing his frustration primarily at Pasquale Sensibile, the official responsible for overseeing loaned players.
Juventus have accused PSG of unprofessionalism, even as PSG maintain they’ve been aware of the problem for a while. However, L’Équipe casts doubt on PSG’s account, noting that club officials appeared to be scrambling on Friday morning to find a solution.
One option being considered is involving Ndour. Still, PSG is confident the loan of Kolo Muani will proceed. Nonetheless, it could complicate the potential departures of Milan Skriniar and Marco Asensio, who currently cannot be loaned out.
