With injuries mounting, Arsenal’s recovery room is busier than ever.

As Gabriel Jesus faces a lengthy ACL rehabilitation, fans are left wondering when their stars will return to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal’s Brazilian talisman, faces an extended spell on the sidelines following an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury sustained during the FA Cup tie against Manchester United.

Jesus, who underwent surgery earlier this week, begins a long and meticulously managed rehabilitation programme. While Arsenal has not provided a definitive timeline for his return, ACL injuries typically require 6-9 months of recovery, a period that includes surgery recovery, strength rebuilding, and neuromuscular retraining.

Mikel Arteta has expressed the club’s full commitment to supporting Jesus through his recovery, calling his absence a “significant blow.”

Bukayo Saka, another vital component of Arteta’s attacking line, continues his recovery from a hamstring injury that required surgery in late December. Saka is not expected back before March, leaving Arsenal to rely on alternative options during his absence.

Ben White is also working his way back to fitness following a knee procedure conducted in November. While Arteta suggested that White’s return might be imminent, the defender remains a “few weeks away” from rejoining full training.

Meanwhile, Riccardo Calafiori and Ethan Nwaneri are sidelined with less defined injuries. Calafiori, absent since early January, is undergoing assessments, with Arteta hopeful that his issue is “not long-term.” He could even return this weekend against Aston Villa.

Nwaneri, on the other hand, faces a longer recovery period after a muscular problem derailed his promising season that is set to keep him out for ‘weeks’. How many, it is not clear.

Takehiro Tomiyasu, recovering from a knee injury sustained in October, has resumed some on-pitch activities but still lacks a clear timeline for his return.

Similarly, Josh Nichols, a standout from Arsenal’s academy, recently confirmed he is dealing with a “long-term injury,” which dashes his hopes of securing a loan move in January.
