A fresh insight into the future of Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has on Monday been forthcoming online.

The info comes courtesy of Relevo, and suggests that, despite claims to the contrary elsewhere in the media, the Italian could be sent on his way before the season is out.

The subject of Ancelotti’s future has of course dominated the headlines across Spain over the course of the last week.

This comes with Real Madrid’s exit from the Champions League at the hands of Arsenal having given rise to widespread speculation, pointing towards an incoming exit for the Italian.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then such a development coming to fruition within the next week cannot be ruled out.

As per Relevo:

‘The Copa del Rey final against Barça will be the first key matchday. If Real Madrid loses, there’s a good chance the Italian coach will be sacked.’

In the case of as much, Ancelotti would likely be replaced by one of Santiago Solari or Raúl until the summer, before an all-out assault for Xabi Alonso is kicked into gear.
