West Ham signed Carlos Soler (27) on loan from Paris Saint-Germain at the start of the season and Le Parisien understand that the Premier League side want to make the move permanent.
Soler, after a difficult start to life at the London Stadium, has slowly won the trust of Julen Lopetegui, starting the club’s last five games. The Spain international’s performances in recent weeks could have a bearing on his future. His loan at West Ham did not include a purchase obligation but a purchase option, thought to be valued around €20m.
This option could be exercised, Le Parisien understands. Talks have begun in recent days regarding keeping Soler at the Premier League club. West Ham have been impressed by the player’s commitment. There are talks scheduled to resolve the Spaniard’s future with those talks notably revolving around his wage demands. PSG, meanwhile, have no interest in retaining Soler, who had become a peripheral figure at the Parc des Princes.
